Now in its fourth year, Ben & Jerry's Sundae on the Common has become a Moosic festival like no other. Taking place on London's Clapham Common on 26th and 27th of July 2008, this year's Sundae is set to be one giant party as Ben & Jerry's celebrate 30 years of Ben & Jerry's doing good stuff.
Headlining the party celebrations on Sunday 27th July and getting everyone in the moo-d to party are Ash, joined by very special guests The Lemonheads as well as Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly. Those top acts will be supported by Slow Club, Cage the Elephant, Parka, The New York Fund and The Vivians. Plus Jerry Greenfield, the Jerry of Ben & Jerry's, will also be at the event, celebrating the ice cream's 30th birthday in style!
Tim Wheeler of Ash said - "It's going to be great playing Sundae, providing we don't get pelted with all that free ice-cream!"
Tickets go on sale on the morning of Tuesday 10th June and are available only at www.benjerry.co.uk , at £10 (£8.75 + p&p) each.
Ben & Jerry started out back in '78 in Burlington, Vermont with a mission to make the best possible ice cream in the nicest possible way. 1995 saw the advent of the first ever ice cream festival in leafy New England. Back then it was called 'One World, One Heart' and featured local bands and scoops and scoops of ice cream.
This year's two day festival will incorporate all the great things you've come to expect from Ben & Jerry's Sundae – live music, fairground attractions and of course, just like in the good ol' days, loads of free Ben & Jerry's!
The line up for Saturday 26th July has yet to be announced, so keep an eye out for further announcements at www.benjerry.co.uk. Until then… peace, love & ice cream!
