The Libertines 'not splitting up' says manager.
The Libertines manager Alan McGee has said the band are not splitting up.
Guitarist Pete Doherty is currently in rehab and last week told a tabloid newspaper that he was leaving the band in an attempt to get clean.
However, McGee has said that everyone around the star is trying to give him as much support as possible -including friends and family reports NME.
Writing online, he said: "The band is not splitting up but I agree these are not happy times. Peter is in a hospital and is getting treatment. His mum is constantly with him at present and she has been brilliant.
"We are all really concerned about Peter as anybody would be about somebody they cared about. He is truly in really good medical hands so please stop the rumours. At the moment it's day to day as we are trying to get Peter well."
The band are currently working out what will happen to forthcoming live commitments, including appearances at the Glastonbury and Isle Of Wight festivals.
