The National have announced a final event on their Trouble Will Find Me world tour. Tickets to The O2, London show on November 26th go on sale at 9.00am on Friday 18th July here.
To kick off this momentous celebration and end of tour party The National have invited Wild Beasts to open The O2 proceedings. The end of tour announcement follows their stunning set on Saturday night in Hyde Park where they shared the bill with the legendary Neil Young and Crazy Horse.
2013 saw The National release their sixth studio album Trouble Will Find Me, sell out two nights at London's Alexandra Place and receive a Grammy nomination. The album charted in the top 3 on both sides of the Atlantic, received international critical acclaim, and was featured in numerous Best Albums media lists.
ABOUT THE NATIONAL Formed in 1999, The National consists of lead vocalist Matt Berninger fronting two pairs of brothers: Aaron (guitar, bass, piano) and Bryce Dessner (guitar), and Scott (bass, guitar) and Bryan Devendorf (drums). Their first two full-lengths, The National and Sad Songs For Dirty Lovers, and mini-album, Cherry Tree, preceded their signing to Beggars Banquet in 2004. Alligator (2005) included underground anthem "Mr. November" and raised The National's profile as they grew into an incendiary live band. Boxer (2007) featured classic songs like "Fake Empire", "Mistaken For Strangers" and "Start A War;and 2010's High Violet was widely recognized for its critical and commercial success around the world. Both individually and collectively, The National's members have been involved in a vast array of artistic, charitable and socio-political pursuits.
