The Pipettes are to release their first single for new label Memphis Industries on November 14.
"Dirty Mind" will be available on CD and 7" formats, and follows three super-limited 45s on Unpopular, Transgressive and Total Gaylord.
"Dirty Mind", a cautionary tale of deceptively clean boys, marks the band's first release since signing to Memphis - home of The Go! Team, Field Music and Dungen.
The 7" will be backed by a new recording of live favourite "Because It's Not Love", while the CD will feature session versions of "Tell Me What You Want" and "We Are The Pipettes" recorded for XFM in June.
The Pipettes (Becki and Rose with Gwenno) and their backing band The Cassettes formed at a seaside party last year and have wasted no time pursuing their stated mission to "turn back the clock to a time before The Beatles ruined everything".
They have since wowed audiences with their trademark polka dot dresses, doowop anthems and choreographed hand movements. Winning fans and high profile support slots with The Magic Numbers, Graham Coxon, British Sea Power and The Go! Team. ‘Dirty Mind' will be their first unlimited release, and will be available on CD as well as 7â€.
Becki, Gwenno and Rose will be dragging The Cassettes around the country to promote the new release. Other dates in France, Sweden and Spain will follow.
