Following an announcement earlier this month that The Postal Service - a much-beloved, long-distance collaboration between Ben Gibbard and Jimmy Tamborello – are to reunite to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the highly acclaimed release of 'Give Up', fans the world across have been on tenterhooks, awaiting further news and information about what to expect.
The re-release of the band's lauded recording, out on 8th April, will be a deluxe edition, available as a 2xCD, 3xLP, or in digital form and will feature two never before released songs, "Turn Around" and "A Tattered Line of String". Further, the album will feature a previously unreleased live recording, and every other official recording the band has ever released, as well as cover versions of Postal Service songs by the likes of The Shins and Iron & Wine.
Most exciting for fans of the band though, are the announcements of live shows. To date, only Coachella and Primavera have been confirmed, but on The Postal Service website it states quite clearly that more are to come soon!
