The Rolling Stones play Hyde Park London for first time in 44 years

The Rolling Stones have returned to play Hyde Park, London for the first time since 1969 with Gary Clark Jr as their special guest.

Clark, who has previously performed with The Stones in Boston and New York, joined the Rolling Stones for the 1971 Sticky Fingers track 'Bitch'.

The Rolling Stones last played Hyde Park on July 5, 1969. It was a free concert and the Stones first performance in two years as a memorial to founding member Brian Jones who had died two days earlier.

The 1969 Hyde Park show was also Mick Taylor very first Stones show. He was a member of The Stones from 1969-1975. Ronnie Wood replaced him in 1975 for the Black and Blue album. Mick Jagger introduced Taylor at the show with "Mick Taylor! Mick's very first show was this very gig in 1969. We just found him in a pub and put him on stage in front of 200,000 people."

Taylor has been performing at every show on this 50 and Counting tour joining The Stones in London for 'Midnight Rambler' and '(I Can't Get No Satisfaction) at Saturday's London show.

The Rolling Stones will perform their final 50 and Counting show next Saturday again at Hyde Park London.
