The Rolling Stones rare & unseen portraits exhibition

Celebrating 50 years of The Rolling Stones, Zebra Gallery has announced that it will bring rock & roll to the heart of London in an exhibition of recently discovered, unseen and rare photographs.

A stunning exhibition of contrasting narratives from the most creative year of The Rolling Stones history has been brought to London by Zebra gallery. Chosen from an archive of thousands, twenty striking images of the band performing and relaxing in public and private have been carefully selected to form a natural portrait of the band in the peak of their powers.

The exhibition includes the recently discovered negatives of the day-long photo-shoot by Peter Webb for the Sticky Fingers Album, alongside the now equally legendary six-month photographic diary of the Rolling Stones in Exile by Dominique Tarle. Altogether, the show at Zebra Gallery provides a fascinating document of rock & roll 1971, and includes the myriad of faces who impacted upon the legendary rock bands most creative year. Coupling intimate moments with studio line-ups, the exhibition takes you on a journey through the band's hedonistic world in the 1970's.

Zebra Gallery is North London's leading gallery for photography, which was founded in 1976 by former artist Lee Brews and whose history is rich with bohemian tales from artists and clients from over the last 40 years.
