The Saturdays were upset by Girls Aloud splitting up.
Rochelle Humes said the girl group - which helped launch the careers of its members Cheryl Cole, Nadine Coyle, Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh - marked a moment in time when they announced their break-up on Wednesday (20.03.13).
They recently completed a reunion tour to celebrate their tenth anniversary after a three year hiatus.
The singer told the Daily Star newspaper: 'It's the end of an era I went to see them on the 'Ten' tour and I'm like, 'Why are you splitting up?' It was such a good show.'
Fellow 'What About Us' hitmaker Una Healy agreed with her Saturdays band mate who also has fond memories of their contemporaries.
She reminisced: 'We supported them on their arena tour five years ago. It's so sad.'
However, the group are determined not to tread the same path, although Vanessa White admitted they do need a break at some point.
She explained: 'I feel like we've got loads left. At the moment we would like some time off, but there's no time in the schedule.'
