The Strokes kick off in Brazil and gave fans a taste of their eagerly awaited third album 'First Impressions Of Earth'.
Playing to a sold-out 4,000 crowd in Rio de Janeiro's Museum Of Modern Art, including drummer Fab Moretti's fiancee Drew Barrymore, the band launched into a mammoth 23-song set peppered with five new tracks, alongside fan favourites from their previous two LPs 'Is This It' and 'Room On Fire'.
The Strokes, who were supported by pals Kings of Leon, arrived in Brazil last Tuesday (October 18) and booked a studio to rehearse on Wednesday and Thursday. During the show the band apologised to the Brazilian crowd for the delay in coming to their country to play.
Tearing through opener 'Hard To Explain', 'Last Nite', 'Someday', '12:51', 'The End Has No End', and 'Reptilia', The Strokes also premiered live forthcoming single 'Juicebox', 'Heart In A Cage', 'I'll Try Anything Once', 'Razor Blade' and 'Hawaii Aloha'.
