This summer The Ting Tings made their return, with the fan friendly disco anthem Wrong Club that got pop lovers and critics excited both sides of the Atlantic, with Perez Hilton observing how the duo had "gone super disco and it's glorious".
The pop architects, Jules and Katie, also became the toast of Ibiza, (incidentally where they recorded the record), opening and closing THE club night on the island, at Phantasmagoria from the legendary Mike and Claire of Manumission held at Booom Club.
Having recently been announced as headline act at the Oxjam launch party at London's Shoreditch Town Hall on September 29th, the band are delighted to confirm that they will be touring this November starting in Brighton on November 23rd, then touring to Bristol, Newcastle, Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester, finishing in Portsmouth on November 30th. These are the band's first full shows in three years.
Also announced is the band's next single, Do It Again, which is available to download and stream from Monday September 22nd, and has an impact date of November 3rd. The perfect follow up to Wrong Club, Do It Again is a riff heavy euphoric number. The song was written in the early stages of the album process. Jules explains "'It's about the need to do something wrong again,' and 'not being lazy,' adds Katie, 'needing to lighten up, stop the paralysis of criticism, just doing anything that makes you feel good.'
With a suite of remixes to come courtesy of Parisian electronic band The Penelopes (who have enjoyed recent success with their remix of Lana Del Ray's Ultraviolence), Super Criticals and hotly tipped Lithuanian producer Embody, Do It Again cuts out its intent as a bonified pop and club record with a heart harking back to the disco glory days of rhythm and groove.
