The xx have confirmed that they have begun recording their third studio album in Texas.
Jamie xx discussed the band's new album during his BBC 6 Music residency this week, after he played a song by Texan musician Mickey Newbury.
The musician and producer explained to listeners that the band were recently in Newbury's home state of Texas working on the follow up to their 2012 album Coexist.
The band's record label also recently posted an Instagram video from Marfa, Texas, which was captioned "LP3 Recording." Hopefully the songs have been padded out a bit since.
Last year, the band spoke to NME about their third album, saying: "We don't find it easy as a band to write on tour, so we haven't got much done yet with new songs, because we've been touring Coexist so much. We're looking forward to having time off to be creative again."
The band's self-titled debut album was released in 2010, and was awarded the Mercury Prize. Their second album, Coexist, was released in 2012.
