The Zimmers to play live at Body Worlds

We at BODY WORLDS have teamed up with The Zimmers for an exclusive performance of their top hits such as My Generation at BODY WORLDS & The Mirror of Time where over 60's and Alzheimer's Society members will be let in for free all day to help us celebrate, life, love and rock n' roll.

The Zimmers are without doubt the worlds most famous group of old aged pensioners. With over 50 million people across the world having heard of the band via the media and more and more tuning in daily to see the bands performances and appearances. The band is a worldwide phenomenon. Consisting of around 50 people with a cumulative age of around 3700, the band are here to challenge a whole host of misconceptions about the elderly by taking them on a true rock 'n' roll journey. The band celebrate all that old age should be.

The organisers of BODY WORLDS and The O2 believe that when people understand more about how the body functions and how it can break down, they are more likely to choose healthy and sustainable lifestyles. We also hope it will inspire visitors to learn more about the life sciences. Knowledge about what the human body looks like and how it functions is basic life science information that should be available to everyone.

"The Mirror of Time," a special feature on the human life cycle, shows the body living through time – from the first spark of life at conception to infancy and child hood, from adolescence and youth to adulthood and old age.
