The Zutons make history again!

The Zutons created a little bit of history last weekend as they became the first band ever to play at the newly refurbished Museum Of Modern Art in New York City.

The museum, which has been closed for three years for a major facelift, played host to an exclusive party for 6,000 of New York's most prominent movers and shakers at which The Zutons were invited to perform. This was one of the most talked about parties in recent years in Manhattan and was another step in the bands' already
tremendous progress in the US.

The band are in the middle of their 4th tour of America, having already played support to The Thrills, Muse and The Killers. Their US label Epic (home of Franz Ferdinand, Modest Mouse and Oasis) have prioritised the band in the wake of overwhelming response to their early live shows and use of their Top 20 hit, Pressure Point in a Levi's TV campaign. The band are currently with The Killers and head back to NYC to perform on the prestigious Thanksgiving Edition of Late Night with Conan O Brien, one of the biggest shows on US network Television.

Following their Conan O Brien appearance, the band return to the UK to continue writing their next record, before embarking on a series of sold out rescheduled dates and two Christmas Shows in their hometown of Liverpool. They also support Muse on their two shows at London Earls Court. The band will return to America to continue touring in early 2005.

The bands, Nationwide Mercury Awards nominated, debut album Who Killed The Zutons has sold over 250,000 copies in the UK and spawned four Top 30 hit singles, Pressure Point, You Will, You Won't, Remember Me and Don't Ever Think…..
