Overview
Moore, 58, was found dead in his room at The Kempinski Resort Hotel in Estepona, Spain, on 6 February, according to The Irish Times.
A statement was posted on his official website that said: 'It is with deep sorrow and regret that we have to announce that Gary Moore passed away while on holiday in Spain last night.
'Our thoughts are with his children, family and friends at this sad time.'
Thin Lizzy founding member Brian Downey said he was stunned by the news of Moore’s death.
He said: 'I am in total shock. He will always be in my thoughts and prayers and I just can't believe he is gone.'
