ADELE has revealed how she missed out on a chance to meet Justin Timberlake because she was too starstruck.
The singer was at the Grammy Awards on Sunday when she was taken into his his dressing room backstage.
Speaking to Sara Cox on Radio One, she said: "I met Justin but I made it seem like I didn't want to meet him.
"We went into the dressing room, I had like the smallest dressing room in the world sharing it with Katy Perry, which was amazing because I love her.
"And Justin had this huge room and like my publicist used to be his or something. So I went in and the room was packed, and I was like: 'Oh right, nice to meet you' and I thought: 'Ah, he doesn't want to chat to me'."
But the 20-year-old star revealed that although Timberlake, who performed with Boyz II Men and Keith Urban on the night, cleared his room so he could chat with her, she got scared and left!
She admitted: "I got so frightened I was like: 'I've got to go'. And he was like: 'Oh, I wanted to talk to you' and I said 'I know I'll try and come back later if I can'.
"But I meant to say 'If it's okay can I come back later'. It was awful I think he thinks I hate him, but I actually love him."
Adele picked up the Best New Artist award at the bash and her single Chasing Pavements won Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.
Talking about the awards, she said: "It was so surreal, so surreal and me and Duffy got so excited because there was like 107 categories and they announced more than half of them before the actual Grammies."
"And me and Duffy both won one and we just like went running up to each other on the red carpet like high-fiving each other and like screaming and everyone was like: 'Who the hell are they?'"
"But we got so excited, because we were like 'Britain, Britain, Britain'. But it was amazing, yeah it was really, really good."
