Tina Turner was hanging out backstage at the Rolling Stones Switzerland gig on Sunday night.
The Stones played their third show since going back on the road in Zurich. Tina Turner, one of Zurich's residents, went along to watch the band.
Mick Jagger and Tina Turner are more than just friends. Mick cites Tina as the inspiration for all of his dance moves. In 1969, Ike & Tina Turner were the support act for The Rolling Stones at their Madison Square Garden shows in New York. Those shows were documented as the live 'Get Yer Ya Ya's Out' album. The recent 3-disc reissue now includes the full supports featuring both Ike & Tina Turner and B.B. King.
Stones backing singer Bernard Fowler posted a picture with Tina backstage at the show. Tina did not perform with the band.
The Stones played 'Let's Spend The Night Together' as a fan request. Fans vote for a request before every show at rollingstones.com.
The band also performed the rare tracks 'Out of Control' from Bridges To Babylon (1997) and Keith's 'Can't Be Seen' at the Zurich show.
