TINA TURNER has been forced to postpone some of her UK concerts after she fell ill with respiratory flu.
The legendary singer was advised by doctors to rest for six days resulting in the cancellation of tonight's show at London's O2 Arena and tomorrow's date at the Sheffield Arena.
Both shows will be rescheduled for May.
The 69-year-old, who is performing in the UK for the first time since 2000, said she was disappointed and apologised to her fans for the "inconvenience".
A statement issued on behalf of Turner said: "Tina always wants to give one hundred percent and has been overwhelmed by the reaction from her UK fans at the gigs last week.
"She regrets this decision to postpone and the inconvenience to all those fans with tickets, but wants to make sure each concert she does is memorable for everyone"
Fans have been advised to keep their tickets, as they will be valid for the rescheduled dates, but refunds are also available for those unable to attend the new dates.
The Simply The Best star performed her first UK show last week, as part of a comeback tour billed as a celebration of 50 years in the business.
