Tom Felton thinks Ariana Grande belongs in Gryffindor.
The 27-year-old British actor played Draco Malfoy throughout the Harry Potter franchise, which saw the Hogwarts wizard school divide its students into four houses: Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw.
During a recent interview, Tom was tasked with the difficult challenge of placing pop diva Ariana in one of the categories.
"@ArianaGrande I got asked by Huffington Post what house you'd be in. I went with Gryffindor. Hoping that suits. (sic)," he informed the 21-year-old.
However, the star seemed a little taken aback by his choice.
"pottermore said slytherin but i'll take it (sic)," she bantered back.
The Harry Potter movies, and the popular books by J.K. Rowling they are based on, have a huge fan following. To let them be a part of the fun, there's site Pottermore, which allows them to sign up and have a virtual 'sorting hat' decide which house they should be in.
Tom played Harry's nemesis Draco, who was a part of Slytherin. Meanwhile, Harry was sorted into Gryffindor.
The actor recently signed up to Pottermore himself - but he was in for a surprise.
"Today was the day. I finally did it. I joined Pottermore and was sorted into........Gryffindor. Heart broken x #slytherinforlife (sic)," he joked on Twitter.
However, J.K. saw it coming all along.
"@TomFelton I could've told you that years ago. I just didn't want to spoil your motivation ;) (sic)," she wrote back.
