The 23-year-old actor was still a child when he landed the role of Draco Malfoy in the boy wizard franchise, and eight films later, he said that he would tell his younger self to focus less on playing computer games and more on enjoying the experience.
Asked by MTV what advice he would give to himself if he could go back to 2000, he said, 'I should have a witty answer prepared, but I don't.
'I guess I'd just say, 'Enjoy it and try to take in as much as you can.' There's nothing I'd change, to be honest with you.
'I've had a good time over the years. I wouldn't change a day of it. [I'd] just take a bit more in. When you're 12 or 13, you don't care about anything. You just want to go home and play PlayStation, so there are definitely some memories I wished I'd taken in.'
And Rupert Grint, who plays Harry's sidekick Ron Weasley, agreed.
'Yeah, [I'd tell myself to] enjoy it,' he said. 'I would never imagine 10 years from then we would be talking about the eighth film. I didn't even see past two, really. It's just been this gradual thing. Yeah, just enjoy every day of it.'
