U2 took two major awards, AC/DC one and Metallica a special fan award at Thursday night's 2010 Billboard Touring Awards. The ceremonies were held at the Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers.
U2 were the big winners for the night taking the Top Tour (biggest grossing tour) and Top Draw (most tickets sold) Awards while AC/DC won Top Boxscore for a single stand during a tour, in this case three nights at ANZ Stadium in Sydney, Australia.
Metallica's award was the Eventful Fans' Choice Award, voted for by the public. In addition, Rush was given this year's Legend of Live award, recognizing their long touring career.
