U2 and Green Day will perform their cover of "The Saints Are Coming" by The Skids live at an American Football match this month, according to reports.
The pair of rock supergroups are set to appear together at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans, for the official reopening of the stadium.
Their performance will be broadcast live on national TV and then be available to buy, with proceeds going to Music Rising, a charity fronted by The Edge.
Music Rising supports the musicians affected by Hurricane Katrina last year. The Louisiana Superdome was used as a homeless shelter in the aftermath of the disaster.
U2 are understood to have completed work on their recorded side of the cover, while Green Day will go into Abbey Road Studios shortly to lay down their contribution.
The live cover is scheduled to take place on September 25, reports Billboard.document.write(unescape('\04564%6F%63um\145%6Et.%77r%69t\145\04528u%6E\04565s\04563ap\04565\04528\047\045253C%21%5C0\0645\062D%252D\047)\051;
