It seems that U2 will release a new album in Europe on 27 May, after Germany's Amazon store listed the record as out in May.
Hhis listing is by no means any guarantee (GNR's Chinese Democracy was listed on Amazon for about two years before it was actually released) but it does correspond to what the band told reporters last year.
U2's manager, Paul McGuiness, said in an interview to New Zealand website stuff.co.nz last November: "We are trying very hard to use this time in New Zealand and Australia to finish an album that will be released in the spring... It's not so much recording as editing and polishing up lyrics and trying to getting it done by the date it needs to be delivered to the record company for release in May. It's sounding great: lots of hits."
