The touring business is back according to Billboard who announced their top 25 tours for the period November 1, 2010 through May 31, 2011.
U2 once again tops the list, although that mega-tour is finally starting to wind down. The grossed over $174 million over that period on 23 sellouts. In second place, well behind, is Roger Waters with a gross of over $114 million on 69 sellouts. Bon Jovi is third with $107 million in gross sales on 45 sellouts.
Overall, just over 50% (13 of 25) of the top 25 involve veteran artists including two shows with a pair of vets.
