Vanessa Hudgens' Italian obsession

Vanessa Hudgens is obsessed with Italy.

The 'Spring Breakers' actress loves the 'magical city' of Rome and can't resist the food in the Italian city.

She told People magazine: 'The last country I visited was Italy. I think [Rome] is the most magical city in the world. The food is to die for. I'm a foodie with a bottomless stomach, so I went crazy.'

The 24-year-old actress - who stars in raunchy college movie 'Spring Breakers' - shot to fame portraying Gabriella Montez in the 'High School Musical' trilogy but recently admitted she is happy to leave her squeaky clean alter-ego behind.

She said: 'For a while I was kind of struggling and fighting for these roles that I just desperately wanted. It was hard and it was a struggle, but then again life is always a struggle.

'Having a career will always be a struggle. You'll always have to fight for what you want. Definitely crossing over and being able to tackle these grittier parts was a challenge, but I feel like I've done it! It's a whole new chapter!'
