Overview
Vanessa Hudgens will star alongside Nicolas Cage and John Cusack in Frozen Ground, a true-story serial killer movie set in Alaska.
This distances Hudgens even further from her High School Musical persona, having previously appeared in Zack Snyder's mental-institute set fantasy Sucker Punch.
Robert Hanson was Alaska's most notorious serial killer, who would kidnap teenagers, ship them to the middle of Alaska's wilderness, and then hunt and kill them.
Cusack will play Hansen, with Cage portraying the Alaskan State Trooper who helps Hudgens - who will be one of the very few victims to survive the ordeal - hunt Hansen down.
Frozen Ground will start shooting in Alaska next month.
