But the 22-year-old actress, who split up with her High School Musical co-star Zac Efron last year, insisted that looking is as far as it goes at the moment as she is concentrating on her film career.
Talking about her single status, she told E! Online, 'I think it's really important to love yourself and truly just be happy with yourself and just kind of let the rest of it fall into place.
'It is fun to go look at cute boys. But at the same time, I like being single. I feel like I have all this time for myself to be able to do these roles.'
She recently chopped off her long locks to play a homeless tomboy in new movie Gimme Shelter, and said that people will be shocked by how she looks in the film.
'It's unrecognizable,' she said. 'Even when I'm like kind of done-up, I look in the mirror and I'm like, 'I don't know who that is.'
'It was shocking, but at the same time so exciting.
'Now it gives me the opportunity to be able to step out of what people see me as and allows to them to get out of their heads and be able to just experience the film.'
