Vanessa Mae Scared by Stalker

Top classical violinist, Vanessa Mae, has been the unwanted recipient of the attentions of alleged stalker David Martin, a 56 year old from Sussex. He has been writing to her for the past eight years, a West London Magistrate's Court was told yesterday. Mae has been increasingly distressed by Martin, who hand delivered gifts to her, and pleaded guilty to harassment in October.

Martin, who remains in custody, was due to be sentenced yesterday but the case has been adjourned until Xmas eve. Lets hope he gets the appropriate punishment, which could be a term behind bars and a court order keeping him away from Miss Mae, or more severely, being ordered to stalk Nigel Kennedy instead!
