The 43-year-old star, whose real name is Rob Van Winkle, lost out after ending up in the skate-off with rival skater Laura Hamilton.
The pair skated to Justin Timberlake's Like I Love You but failed to win over the judges and they decided to put TV presenter Hamilton through to the next show.
A source said to UK newspaper The Sun: 'The twist will completely change the competition because somebody who usually scrapes by could end up at the top of the leaderboard.
'Likewise, favourites to win like Sam Attwater could end up in the bottom two. The celebs were shocked. There could be an upset.'
