After addressing that whole public fallout with Gucci Mane, Waka Flocka Flame used his visit to "RapFix Live" to set one thing straight: He's not dating Selena Gomez.
As host Sway Calloway pointed out, Waka's Twitter feed can provide an endless stream of entertainment, and a few days ago, the rapper retweeted messages from his fans which hinted that he was getting close to the "Spring Breakers" actress. After fueling the rumor mill with his retweets, Waka eventually issued his own message, clarifying that nothing had gone down between the two. But what started all the talk in the first place?"
"That's just fans and I'm a friendly person, fans [felt] like I should mess with Selena" Waka said, explaining how it started. "I guess that's what my fans want me to do, but I [tweeted] out that you should respect her, [because] she got a career."
"That was real random," he added, explaining that he hadn't actually known her name before the tweets began. "Honestly, I knew what it was but I never knew her name or nothing, till I put two and two together, then I Googled her and was like damn 'she look good.'"
So, Waka isn't tryna step in on Justin Bieber's on-again, off-again ex-girlfriend then? "I ain't know that was Justin Bieber's girl," he responded. "No disrespect to Justin Bieber — he's like, the next Michael Jackson — but I don't even know a Justin Bieber song 'cause we're both in two different worlds. I don't go into people relations. I don't even know the top blog sites. I don't even practice that. That's a form of snitching to me. Where I'm from, it ain't cool so I try to just walk a straight line."
Just a few days before Selena Gomez became a fixture on his timeline, Waka also sent a random tweet to "Boy Meets World" star Danielle Fishel, simply writing, "Squadd," which both confused and entertained the actress, who quickly responded to him. According to the ATL rapper, that was simply his way of saying, "I see you. It ain't like I wanna talk to you or nothing — you pretty. I want you to know that from this direction we feel like you look like something. Keep your hustle on."
