William Shatner has boldly gone where no Star Trek legend has gone before by criticsing Star Wars.
The 80-year-old, who played Captain Kirk on the iconic show, doesn't think George Lucas's six-film strong saga is a patch on Star Trek.
He told The Sun: "Star Trek had relationships and stories that involved humanity and philosophical questions. Star Wars was special effects."
Of Princess Leia, played by Carrie Fisher, he added: "[She] can't compare to the marvellous heroines we had on Star Trek."
Star Wars: The Complete Saga, which collects all six Star Wars movies on blu-ray, is currently available.
