Willow Smith has "been writing dozens of letters" to high fashion magazines to secure a column.
The 12-year-old daughter of actors Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith is committed to establishing a career in the fashion industry.
The highly ambitious preteen is creating a blog and is hoping to write for a publication like Vogue.
"She's been writing dozens of letters and applications and asking everyone she knows to pull strings for her," a source told Star magazine.
Will and Jada are very supportive of Willow's dreams.
However, the loving parents require that she excel in school.
"They told Willow they'll hire a designer to build her a website—as long as she keeps on top of her school assignments," the source said.
"She hates homework, and her parents always have to stay on her about it; she's convinced that her future is in fashion."
Jada has spoken previously about how she and husband of 14 years Will support their children's creative expression.
"[We] instill the power of individuality," she told People magazine recently.
"We… communicate with our kids in a way that our message overpowers any other message that they get out there."
