Yeah Yeah Yeahs helped celebrate the impending release of their second album in front of a packed crowd that included an Oscar nominee Sunday night Los Angeles (March 5).
The New York trio, who release 'Show Your Bones' on March 27, played to a sold-out crowd at the city's Troubadour.
Shortly into the band's 90-minute set, Best Supporting Actress nominee Catherine Keener from the film 'Capote', snuck up the venue's stairs to the balcony to watch the band perform.
Though several roads around the venue were shut off due to post-Oscar parties, Yeah Yeah Yeahs managed to fill the venue for the second night of two exclusive shows, which both sold out late last month in minutes.
Dressed in a yellow and red mini-jumpsuit, her hand dipped in black paint, singer Karen O, guitarist Nick Zinner and drummer Brian Chase treated the crowd to a host of new tracks including single 'Gold Lion' as well as 'Fancy' and 'Turn Into' before bringing out old favorites like 'Maps' during their set.
Though little banter was exchanged during the group's performance, O, manged to keep the crowd's attention, throwing shapes, wildly bounding across the stage and at times into Zinner.
