RKZ Biography
RKZ, is a Singer/Songwriter/Rapper currently based in London, England. He was signed to DAS Records, UK in 2007, but has been recording since 2005. He has attained substantial fame in the Asian Music scene since 2008 with the releases of singles 'Mr. Entertainer', 'Genda Phool', 'This DJ' featuring various artists, and the single 'Defeat Me' featuring Raxstar and Menis. Music career 2008 RKZ began his career in 2008 with his debut album 'Releas'd: Vol I' released on DAS Records, UK. The album was relatively successful, and was pushed by the release of 'Be Mine/Renegades Remix' as a video medley. It debuted at #1 on Brit Asia TV and remained in the top spot for 3 weeks. Following this, his feature in fellow DAS Records artist Jus Ritz' single Nehio Nibhani was also successful on the Chart Show, staying in the Top 5 for 7 weeks and being at #1 for four of those. 2009 The following year, RKZ returned to record and release a 24-track mixtape entitled 'Mr. Entertainer' as a promotional tool for his follow up single 'Mr. Entertainer'. The mixtape was released under DAS Records, UK once more and was available for free download on their website. The single was later removed from YouTube and iTunes due to personal differences between RKZ and producer Dally King. Between releases, he collaborated with Bollywood/Bhangra producer Bharat Goel, and they released the single 'Genda Phool' - a remix of the single from bollywood film Delhi 6. 2010 This year he was a featured artist for DJ Dips single, This DJ, which also featured rappers MC Rax, Swami Baracus, Menis and Horizon. In March, he came out with his second mixtape entitled 'Dark Night of the Soul' which featured the likes of Zaheer, Raxstar & Sam Khan. The track Needin' Me featuring vocalist Latala received consistent airplay up until the summer. He featured on a charity song fir the 2010 Pakistan Disasters called United We Stand. The track was created by Sabotage, and featured RKZ, Raxstar, Sam Khan, Swami Baracus as well as vocalist Arjun. Following up from this is his single Defeat Me featuring Raxstar & Menis which he released on iTunes on the 6th September. 'How Are You' is his latest release, and last of 2010, with the video releasing late November. The video featured singer/songwriter Kazz Kumar. At the end of the year, RKZ decided to give away the majority of his recorded catalogue of music for free via his BandCamp ( ) page.
