Robey Biography
Louise Ann Robey was born 14 March 1960 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Her father, Malcolm, was an air force pilot, and her mother, Dallas, was an actress. She was schooled throughout Europe, including a stint at the Royal Ballet School. She moved to France and was soon discovered by famed fashion photographer Jacques Henri Lartigue, who photographed her for Vogue Magazine. She also headed up a short-lived band called Louise and the Creeps. They never recorded. Louise dropped her first name when she moved to New York and instead became known as simply Robey. She recorded an eponymous album, which yielded a semi-hit, a cover of Murray Head's song from the musical Chess called "One Night in Bangkok." She had small roles in The Money Pit and Raw Deal before landing the role she is best-known for, that of Micki Foster on the syndicated horror series Friday the 13th: The Series. The show, filmed in Canada, ran for three seasons. Robey played a young woman who inherited an antique shop from an estranged uncle. When it turns out the antiques in the shop are cursed by the devil, it is up to Robey, her cousin, and a family friend to hunt down these antiques before they can kill anyone else. Robey's only other notable role to date was a starring turn in the film Play Nice in which she appeared nude. Robey married Charles, the Earl of Burford, on 29 December 1994. They divorced in 2001. Their child, James, lives with his father. She currently lives in Suffolk, England where she is recording a new album with boyfriend and music engineer Mark Fairfax-Harwood.
