Safura Biography
Safura Alizadeh (Səfurə Əlizadə) is a pop artist, born on September 20th 1992 in Azerbaijan. She represented Azerbaijan in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 with her song “Drip Drop”. Safura is coming from a creative family, her father is an artist and her mother is a pianist and a fashion designer. Thanks to her parents Safura started to show an extreme interest for fashion since early childhood. She showed her offbeat growing talents in fashion design while working on the very first stage outfits which she created with her mother’s help. Safura started to sing at the age of three. At six she had her first stage performance. And ever since then she always is trying out in different competitions. She is a winner of Azerbaijan’s talent show “Yene Ulduz” which is analog of worldly famous Pop Idol show. Safura is a young sex symbol of Azerbaijan. This red-blooded young woman has a perfect combination to represent Azerbaijan - the Land of Fire. She is self-confident, stylish and talented person. On March 2nd, 2010, Safura won the Azerbaijan national Eurovision selection in Baku. One week later, she visited Stockholm, Sweden to spending time in the studio and learning her new song “Drip Drop” for Eurovision Song Contest 2010. “Drip Drop” is written by Swedish composers Anders Bagge (hit-maker, and most known as jury member for Swedish Idol) and Stefan Örn, with lyrics by Sandra Bjurman. The song is mixed by Grammy winning producer Niklas Flyckt. Safura released her Debut Album "It's My War" on June 23rd, 2010.
