Shades Of Fiction Biography
Shades of Fiction, formed in 2002 from the demise of nationally and locally recognized bands such as Island/Def Jam recording artists Relative Ash, followed by Crash Poet and Red River. Shades of Fiction bring beautifully spawned creative elements together to forge a sonic release of music that engulfs listeners instantly. Everything started when John Salazar, Brian Kowalski and Mike Tate, three likeminded individuals bred for music and the stage chanceably linked up with old friend and vocalist Picasso Dular. Summer of 2006 saw the release of two new songs The Sname Charmer and Summer's Gone. Soon afterwards and quite recently, the band was joined by former From Zero bassist and Chicago's Uptown Recording Pro Toolz Wizard Rob Ruccia on bass guitar while Mike Tate moved to guitar to create what Salazar describes as a "thicker" sound. In Summer of 2007, Johnny Salazar left to join the Chicago-based band Janus. Shortly after in Fall of 2007, Shades recruited Paul Lebel to the drum throne. As of now, Shades of Fiction released their new EP album Back to Blood Alley on December 14 of 2007.
