Shane Dawson

Shane Dawson is a 21 year old internet celebrity from YouTube who resides in California. His popularity in YouTube skyrocketed in 2009 from many of his comedy skits, parodies, spoofs and vlog videos on his ShaneDawsonTV (SDTV) and in his ShaneDawsonTV2 (SDTV2) YouTube channels, making him one of the most popular users on the site and #1 most subscribed of all time. Shane's comedy videos always include many of his different characters such as Ned the Nerd, Aunt Hilda, Barb the Lesbian, his "mom" character and one of his most popular: Shananay, a ghetto princess with a third eyebrow, as well as his four pets: 2 cats (Snoop and Muffins) and 2 dogs (Miley and Charlie). A lot of the videos in his main channel are meant to be interactive with the people watching, always having to comment/video-respond on a question asked by Shane or one of his characters. With a partners program deal from YouTube where the site pays him for the amount of views his videos get, Shane Dawson has bought a house for him and his mom (possibly brothers as well) with an outdoor pool and filming room where he films his videos now that he is a full-time YouTuber, however recently, he has moved in with his brother, Jared, and has been making videos with him. Shane is influenced by his fans and is more comfortable with himself than when he was younger and obese, saying how YouTube has changed his life thanks to all his fans. Via his Twitter, Facebook, and MySpace he interacts with his fans off-YouTube, always giving sneak previews of his latest videos that premier every Saturday at 8A.M. Shane recently had surgery and in a video he explains that it was because losing 165 pounds in nine months caused internal damage to his organs. Shane was part of a collab YouTube account called TheStation with many other popular YouTubers but has since quit the team because it took too much focus and lessen his time for his videos. On Dec 15 ShaneDawsonTV achieved the one million subscribers milestone on YouTube. On April 2010, Shane created a third channel known as his "iPhone channel" where he uploads random, unedited, footage of his life. His third channel is http://youtube.com/shane Having given the account by YouTube, the account is said to have been made in 2005, however that is not when Shane joined.
