Sidd Coutto Biography
Sidd Coutto is a songwriter who loves pop hooks and doesn’t like being constricted by genre. As drummer of Zero, Three Guys and a Girl and vocalist of Helga’s Fun Castle, he’s crafted quite a few rock anthems in India over the past 12 years. Think PSP 12”, Not my kind of girl, Wish, Bonkan Bot and Smoke Some G. He currently sings in his band 'Tough on Tobacco'. In Jan 2008, Sidd wrote the first Tough on Tobacco album, 'The Happy Goat' (released Nov 2009). ‘Happy’ off that album was nominated for an AVIMA award(Malaysian International independent music awards), plays regularly on Delhi’s HIT 95 FM (along with 'Taxi Song', also off The Happy Goat) and was the song Sidd sang on Sutasi, the international TV competition that he featured on in the songwriter category(a trip to Singapore was involved … it was great). As a drummer, Sidd plays with Ankur Tewari and the Ghalat Family as well as Airport. He is currently working on a project involving tribal musicians as well as recording the Airport EP and his new project with original ToT collaborator Hans Dalal, 'Train, Wreck:
