Steve Rot Biography
Steve Rot is a musician, solo-artist, producer, and audio engineer from Scarborough, Ontario, Canada. The term rot 'n' roll (from the Carcass song of the same name) is sometimes attributed to his genre which features low tuning, slow tempos, and heavy, bass guitar-centric rhythms, with elements of rock, metal, soul, alternative, electronic, industrial, and experimental music. His first album, Volume 1: See You In Hell, was released in 2010. He also released Steve Rot’s Doom Tribute, a musical tribute to the soundtracks of Doom and Doom 2. Throughout the 2000s, he has played with, recorded, and has performed on the albums of acts such as Wrong Crowd, Laffhappy, My Flea Circus, 442 From Hell, ‘69 Cutlass, and Catalog’s backing band Easy Street. He sang backup in the TFC song played at BMO Field.
