Beginning around 1995 in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, Twothirtyeight released three EPs independently and started to amass a following in Northwest Florida & Alabama. After signing with the now-defunct Takehold Records in 1999, Twothirtyeight released the full length album Missing You Dearly which was dedicated to their former bassist kevin glass, who died in a tragic car accident in 1997. The band also released the Matter Has a Breaking Point EP and Regulate the Chemicals LPs on Takehold. In 2001, with Takehold Records folding, the band signed to Tooth and Nail Records. The label re-released Regulate the Chemicals, as well as the new LP You Should Be Living. In April 2003, Twothirtyeight decided to call it quits after eight years of music making.
