Wi sa feti gi Sranan. Submitter's comments:  God zij met ons Suriname or Opo kondreman is the national anthem of Suriname. It has two verses: the first one being in Dutch, and the second one being in Sranan Tongo. Suriname is a former colony of the Netherlands, and is inhabited by many different groups of immigrants and their descendants. Those groups include: Hindustanis (people with British-Indian roots), Javanese, Creoles, Native Surinamese, Dutch, other Europeans, Chinese, Brazilians et cetera. Because of this, many different languages are spoken in Suriname. Dutch is the country's official language, and Sranan Tongo is considered its national language.
