2 Chainz doubled up this summer, joining two of the season's hottest tours. Now that he's wrapped up Drake's Club Paradise run and Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday Tour, the Atlanta MC is ready to start taking his own show on the road — and he'll be taking a very G.O.O.D. guest out with him.
After some prodding from "RapFix Live" host Sway Calloway, a reluctant 2 Chainz gave a hint as to who will be opening for him when he embarks on his Based on a T.R.U. Story Tour, starting August 30. "I can tell you the person is in G.O.O.D. Music," Deuce said last week when he appeared on "RapFix Live."
Sway went on to guess Big Sean, but Chainz wouldn't give up the goods. "No, I didn't say no names," he said with a chuckle. "One thing people don't understand is that G.O.O.D. Music has a roster; it's just not like three or four people."
Though he isn't officially signed to the label, 2 Chainz has very close ties to Kanye West's camp. He appeared on G.O.O.D.'s "Mercy" single, and Yeezy returned the favor by guesting on Deuce's latest single, "Birthday Song." 2 Chainz also posed alongside 'Ye, Sean, Pusha T, Kid Cudi and several other members of G.O.O.D. on the cover of the August/September issue of Complex magazine.
Could 2 Chainz be touring with Mr. West himself?
"Yeah, I'mma let 'Ye open up for me," he joked before stopping himself in hopes that he doesn't spark a rumor. "But I am going on a tour, and dammit, it's my tour, so whoever opens up, it'll be a blessing for them as well. It'll be a blessing for both of us."
