We guess all that Indian makeup and "standing and delivering" has worked wonders for 1980's iconic rocker Adam Ant, 58, who was actually carded for alcohol at roadside gas station.
"Carding," for our readers outside the USA, is the act of asking for identification to verify age.
Adam, once voted Sexiest Man Alive by MTV viewers is happy about this charming incident and it’s not lost on me the man famously known for the lyric “don’t drink, don’t smoke, what do you do?” would still not have been drinking if he hadn’t been able to prove his age.
Adam and his band were en route to Nashville for his next show at The Cannery Ballroom as part of his 44-city 2013 North American tour in support of his new album “Adam Ant is The Blueblack Hussar in Marrying The Gunner’s Daughter” when he stopped at the store to buy a frozen vodka lemonade. “I’m astonished!” Ant said, once voted Sexiest Man Alive by MTV viewers. “I can only hope that I continue to be asked for proof of age for many years to come.”
