Amanda Seyfried `having therapy for panic attacks`

The 25-year-old actress said she has sought professional help to deal with the anxiety caused by being in the public eye.

'[Therapy] has been such a great tool, and my therapist told me that I passed with flying colours, but we'll see how things go,' she told Glamour magazine.

'I still do get terribly nervous, and that's partly due to the fact I think too much and overanalyse things.

'I'll start worrying about my parents or my dog, and I'll picture him opening the window of my apartment and falling out, even though I can't get that thing open myself.'

After high profile relationships with Dominic Cooper and Ryan Phillippe, the Mamma Mia! Star has now sworn off famous men because they attract too much media attention.

'Dominic and I were together for such a long time, so the coverage was always positive,' she explained. 'But when you've just started seeing someone and that person is really famous, it's more of a story.

'When I was with Ryan, people followed me so much more, and that's probably one of the reasons that I'm not looking to date someone who's famous now.'

Now with real estate executive, Andrew Joblon, she added that she still maintains a close relationship with Cooper, 33.

'Dom is my favourite person in the whole world and one of my closest friends,' she said. 'I wouldn't ever want us to stop being open with each other. If you truly love someone, I think you should be able to tell them everything.'
