Arctic Monkeys have added another festival headline date to their 2014 schedule, and will top the bill at this year's Summerfest event in Milwaukee.
The Sheffield band will take their show Stateside in mid-summer, and will headline the festival, which takes place between 25 June and 6 July. Other new additions include Lake Street Dive, the Pretty Reckless, Brother Ali, Rick Springfield and Railroad Earth. The hugely eclectic event already boasts a number of big-name stars performing, with Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Outkast, Fall Out Boy, Paramore, Usher, Motley Crue, Dave Matthews Band and Brad Paisley all on the line-up.
Summerfest began in 1968, and now boasts 11 stages, annually drawing 800 bands and artists and an estimated 900,000 gig-goers.
Arctic Monkeys were recently criticised by former support band The Orwells, who revealed that the band perform the same show night after night on tour - including interactions with the crowd and ad libs.
"So every night no matter how he was feeling he'd go into that opening riff . It was the exact same ad-libs he was putting between the songs. So we were with them for about 50 dates, you saw them once and you'd pretty much seen every date that they'd played."
