Arctic Monkeys have shot straight to the top of the UK singles chart with 'When The Sun Goes Down'.
The song is the second consecutive number one for the band, whose 'I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor', also debuted in pole position in October of last year.
'When The Sun Goes Down' beat off competition from the other big selling new entries, including Notorious BIG's 'Nasty Girl' with P. Diddy and Nelly which charted at two, Will Young's 'All Time Love' which went in at three and 'Check On It' from Beyonce featuring Slim Thug going in at four.
Other new entries this week came from Hi-tack at eight with 'Say Say Say (Waiting 4 U)', Son Of Dork at ten with 'Eddie's Song', Belle & Sebastian at 13 with 'Funny Little Frog', Test Icicles at 31 with 'What's Your Damage', iForward, Russia! at 36 with 'Twelve' and Sway going in at 38 with 'Little Derek'.
Meanwhile in the album charts, Hard-Fi claim the top spot with their debut LP 'Stars Of CCTV' while Editors are at two with 'The Back Room'.
