ARCTIC MONKEYS have revealed that they want to be known as "Sheffield's best reggae band".
The pop rock band, who come from the Yorkshire city, said they are planning to rebrand themselves for their third album after developing a new sound whilst recording the LP in New York.
Drummer Matt Helders said: "We're going to be the best reggae band from Sheffield. It's like getting into 'The Guinness Book of Records' by doing something nobody else has ever done. Like being the loudest person ever to say 'Colonic!'.
Singer Alex Turner added: "That taught us to pick an area where no one else really goes. That's why the album is now mostly reggae."
But the group said they had no time to go out and have fun in New York because they were too busy working.
Bassist Nick O'Malley told Loaded magazine: "We haven't gone out much because we've been in the studio until three in the morning most nights. As soon as you get up, you're on your way back!
