We told you yesterday about how the 10th anniversary edition of the Austin City Limits Festival was trying to shake things up by slowly revealing its lineup through a low-tech "Lineup Lottery" scratch-card game that had coughed up the names of a few participants: Arcade Fire, My Morning Jacket, Cee Lo and Chromeo.
Then the June issue of Spin magazine revealed that Kanye West and Stevie Wonder would also be joining the September 16-18 party in Austin's Zilker Park.
But on Tuesday (May 17), the festival finally tipped its entire hand, and in addition to newly announced fave Kanye, the festival will also be serving up headline sets from Coldplay, Fleet Foxes, Nas & Damian "Jr Gong" Marley, and Alison Krauss and Union Station.
Among the 130 bands on the bill are Bright Eyes, Social Distortion, Empire of the Sun, Santigold, Pretty Lights, TV on the Radio, Skrillex, Big Boi and Randy Newman. Three-day passes are already sold out, but single-day passes will be available starting Tuesday on the ACL website.
Also on the bill are: Iron & Wine, Ray LaMontagne, Broken Social Scene, Old Crow Medicine Show, Death From Above 1979, Cold War Kids, the Airborne Toxic Event, Elbow, Fitz and the Tantrums, the Walkmen, Foster the People, Smith Westerns, Young the Giant, Chiddy Bang, Gomez, James Blake, Twin Shadow, the Head and the Heart, Joseph Arthur, Belle Brigade, the Vaccines, North Mississippi Allstars, Alexander, Ryan Bingham & the Dead Horses, Gillian Welch, Theophilus London, Young the Giant, and AWOLNATION.
